Pathfinders - Lincoln College Oxford
As Access and Career Development Fellow at Lincoln College, Oxford, I was responsible for creating a new flagship initiative, the resulting programme, Pathfinders, is an evidence-based continuous-contact intervention for pupils eligible for Free School Meals (widely considered the most reliable indicator of socio-economic disadvantage for young people across ethnicities and regions). As programme director, I led the research, development, proposal, budgets, delivery, visual identity and evaluation of the scheme. The success of this work strengthened my experience of managing complex projects from concept to evaluation while balancing strategic objectives, stakeholder relationships and measurable outcomes. After only two years, Pathfinders was included in the latest University of Oxford Access and Participation Plan (APP) as an example of good practice. In addition to this, I have developed extensive experience of partnership building and external engagement. From the earliest development of Pathfinders, I established and maintained formal relationships with key regional school trusts, Lincoln International Business School, and the University of Lincoln.
